Personal information we collect:
we store the email address you provide above, your chosen username, your optional
name and bio, and any content you upload (photos, history notes, item details).
Your email is used to identify your account; it is never displayed publicly on the site
and is only searchable by exact match.
We do not sell your personal information. Your data will be used to operate
the sweetkeepsake platform and to communicate with you about your account when needed.
You can request account deletion at any time; deleting your account will remove your
personal information from our records, though content you've contributed to others' items
(such as history notes) may persist with attribution preserved.
I have read and consent to the collection and use of my personal information
as described above.
Important — what sweetkeepsake is, and what it isn't:
sweetkeepsake is a service for recording and sharing the stories of physical heirlooms.
The platform holds only a digital profile of each item — its photos, history,
ownership records, and inheritance designations as you have entered them.
Using this platform does not convey, transfer, or affect physical
ownership, legal title, or any property rights in the underlying real-world object.
When you "transfer" an item to another user, you are updating the digital record only;
the physical object's whereabouts and ownership remain governed by the laws of your
jurisdiction and any agreements between the parties involved.
Similarly, designating someone as an "inheritor" on this platform is a personal
statement of intent. It is not a legal will, estate plan, or
substitute for one. Consult an attorney for any real-world inheritance arrangements.
Although users are expected to keep digital records in sync with physical reality
(a 1:1 mapping is the intended use), Squires Enterprises LLC makes no warranty that
digital records on sweetkeepsake reflect the true legal or physical state of any item.
I understand that sweetkeepsake stores only a digital profile of my items and does
not convey physical ownership, legal title, or constitute any form of legal will or
inheritance instrument.
